Tree armatures, recognize this brand?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, October 17, 2004 11:12 AM
I've been looking for more bendable, soft metal tree armatures as in the picture below. I bought a bunch over 10 years ago and have no idea who the manufacturer was. I'd like to get a bunch more. Anyone recognize this flattened sample?

Thanks,
Wayne

They're the Woodland Scenic lead tree armatures. WS still makes them, but they're expensive and hard to find. WS makes at least three lines of tree kits these days, so be sure you're buying the right ones!

Thanks Ray,

I haven't been able to get to a hobby shop in ages and haven't run across them online. I see now they are still listed on the Woodland Scenics website.

They are a bit pricy, but they finish up nicely, are fast & easy and are less fragile than weeds. I'm using them as for foreground trees only, of course. I have a forest of bamboo skewer trees.

Thanks again.
