Yeah, I was just thinking that myself. I will always have some spare track, so that is what I think I will do. Thanks!!

Tim,
From looking at some on-line prices I would guess that Atlas flex track would be about the same price as bare rail, maybe a bit less expensive. The rails are pretty easy to remove from the tie strips.

I have a few projects (turntable, repair shop, etc) that require bare rail. I have seen one retailer offer 99' of Atlas code 100 rail, but I don't need that much. Does anyone know of a source for a smaller quantity of code 100 rail? I need about 30'.
