Wiring a wye

Does anyone here know where I can get info on wiring a wye, preferably with illustrations. It was first put on the layout as just a scenery thing but after some modifications of the layout it has become used. Can someone help?

Here is a pic of the wye. It's on the righ side by the water tower and interchange tower. The track going along the wall is now the mainline. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Can you get your hands on a copy of the Atlas book "The Complete Atlas Wiring Book" or take a quick look at one at your LHS? They have a good explanation of the wiring for a wye in chapter 5.

it's simple to wire a wye...cut the wye in two places (that's if you are using "all power " turnouts)...wire one track block with a DPDT switch and then wire to the other wye block with a DPDT except cross the wires on the DPDT...as you transverse the wye at the second turnout..(youv'e already crossed over one turnout ) the second DPDT switch is throw before the train enters the block...as you come down the wye (the third turnout you've transversed ) you must stop the train, reverse the polarity on the second DPDT switch and then the polarity (forward or reverse) of the power pack...then you can enter the wye to the place where you first started (you will also notice that the train has turned around) ...Easy Model Railroad Wiring by Andy S. and Wiring your Model Railroad by Lynn Wescott are two really good Kalmbach publication books on this subject....Chuck[:D]

Thanks alot guys. Now I finally got the concept. It's actually easier then it sounds. I sat staring at it for ever before posting this question and just knew it had to be something simple. So simple that I just couldn't see it. Again thanks alot for the help. It is greatly appreciated.
