i glue a square of luan to the foam and then screw the switch to the piece of wood. If you need a longer piece of wire to compensate for the thick foam i buy piano wire at the hobby shop and cut off the length i need,

hello,
ive been thinking about getting under the table switch machines and im wondering how can u install one if you are using a foam board ontop of wood, i didnt think that the switcher was that tall?? could anyone tell me how to do this, also im thinking about switching over to the magnematic couplers, and i got the kit for 7 bucks and i had to almost kitbash my caboose cauz it had a repeado( i think thats how u spell it) coupler on it that was set back far so i had to glue a truck holder in followed by the truck and wheels, and now when its next to my conversion car( the caboose is also a conversion car) and theyere both together magne matic, the caboose tends to like bobble back and forth and not seem to roll along tightly?? anyone know how i can fix this also, or should i just get a magnematic coupler, because the cars i have now are all almost repeadoz and i dont want all of em to have this bobbling effect!!
thanks
tim
