TrainsRMe1I MEASURED my isle space is 42 1/2 inches, divided my radius is 21 1/4 inches not good for my well cars that would derail in the CENTER of the 2% incline, so I have some options to solve this problem, from widing the isle to reconfiguring the mainline to a over- under Tehachapi type of loop using the peninsula as part of the return, to continue the mainline to the rest of the layout. What do you think of that??
The width of your benchwork (if that's what you mean by "isle") is not the issue, as we don't know how much benchwork you have on the outside of the track. Measuring across the curve itself from track center to track center would give you the diameter of the curve in the track. Half of that is the radius.
Are you still in N scale, as was the case in April?http://cs.trains.com/TRCCS/forums/t/204778.aspx If so, 21 1/4" is plenty of radius, so there are other issues like the abrupt grade changes that should be addressed. (If that's actually your radius at all, of course.)
I guess what you are calling an "isle" is what most of us would call a "peninsula". In model railroading, "aisles" are what you walk in, "peninsulas" are what you walk around. "Isles" are something you visit on vacation.
As far as the different layout arrangements you are now suggesting, without a posted sketch of your track plan, it's pretty hard to help you.
As far as not being able to click on the reply button (which makes things extremely confusing), I suppose there is a chance it is because of your browser's incompatibility with the forum software. If you are using Internet Explorer 9, try clicking on the icon that looks like a torn piece of paper for "compatibility" mode. (By the way, you don't need quotes around your thread titles).
Good luck to others in helping you sort things out.

I first want to thank all you MRRders, for helping me with this issue, I figured that most of my problem was guess-a- mating, not good.
