The most common use of the switch wiring is to route the proper track power to the frog, if your turnouts do not have auto frog powering. The second use would be to control signals to depict turnout position, Your imagination could come up with more uses.

it as to do with single pole double throw slide swithes and the wiring of them to HO gage

On page 90 of sept 2004 model railroader I am looking for more info on it like the connection on the wireing to what items
