looks like you are on your way to having a mountain!  i still have pink foam in my family room carpet from a module i did 4 years ago.  using the surform gets that foam EVERYWHERE, and then some.

Gee. I see nothing.

Are you making a mountain out of a mole hill?

After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.

with foam, you start with a mountain and wind up with a molehill. dont forget to seal it with latex paint and also that you can make rock castings for outcroppings

I've found that little Surform tool to be the handiest thing yet for shaping the foam.  The other thing I keep on hand is a can of Static Guard spray,  Keeps the mess from sticking to everything.  Don't forget the shop vac.

Have fun,

Richard

Very nice Rob! I like that tool you're using.

When you ready to paint it, go pick up some latex paint at your local hardware store. They have a color called "Sandy Brown" should be a good color for the base. Then after you paint, attach the rock outcroppings.

oh ya, the base paint is going to be copper penny because  it simulates the dirt color under the turf realy well.
