Water Water Everywhere

I am trying to build a river into my layout. I used Realistic Water from Woodland scenics poured it into the riverbed and when I returned found the realistic water on the floor. What can I use to block the ends of the river so that the realistic water doesn't run out? Should I pour it all at one time or layer the coats? Any help is greatly appreciated.[:(!]

you need to dam up the area you pour and only pour about 1/8 of an inch thickness at a time and let it dry before the next pour...I have used balsa wood and a bit of plaster to form a dam before and after it dries break the dam out and start another section...you may also need to find where it is leaking from under the table and apply strips of masking or duct tape in the spot to keep it from running onto the floor...Chuck[:D]

Thanks. Its not leaking through the board, only at the ends of the riverbed. The dam idea is great. I knew I needed some kind of dam but didn't know what to use. Tahnks again.
