Scratch Building Parts
Posted by topcopdoc on Friday, July 16, 2004 1:33 PM
I have several building kits which match the prototype pretty close but do not have dormers on the roof. Are there any companies which sell dormer parts for kitbashing. I did some searching without any success.

I've never seen any dormers sold as individual items. But that's OK, they're easy enough to scratchbuild. Just find whichever Evergreen novelty siding matches the building, find some Tichy or Grandt Line windows, and start hacking away! I just did the same thing for a group of N scale bungalows for my father's layout.
