Im still havent made up my mind on the legs yet, I have a bunch of  2" X 4" laying around but the 2" X 2",s would look better, what ever I go with will be removable so that the whole layout will fit into a rack when I need to use the shop. The plan right now is to put 2" foam on top of the plywood.

Ron, having done a few modules i would say that one brace would be enough . especially if you are using 1/2" ply.  you could use 1/2" homa and foam, that would make it lighter . what are you using for your legs 2x2?

Bench work for modules ?

Ok Guys, I need your expertise.

I am building 2' X 4' modules using 1" X 3" frame work with 1/2" plywood on top. My question is, can I get away with just one center brace set at 2' on center or do I need to go ahead and put in two center braces ? Remember my modules are only 4' long.

Thanks in advance.
