Are these what you are talking about? This was taken from a boat on the river. That is the upper level of a Superliner car, 3 tracks in (I think). Perhaps you can extrapolate at least a general size from the windows, or even better the boat tie-down cleat in the foreground. I believe those are mostly standard size. You can decide from the photo what things are made from.

I can't answer your question directly, but suggest you look up the historical/modeling societies for the RRs that served the station. Typically they have access or know exactly where to get the type of information you are looking for........

Does anyone know where I can get the measurements of the "arches" that are on the lower level of Chicago Union Station, next to the river? And what they were made of (concrete, stone, etc.).
