Thanks guys, I finished ballasting the whole layout today and to cover up the switch points i used a piece of masking tape. And Joe, I tested it on a pice of old track first one half wiping it of the rails rite after I sprayed it and one letting it dry, and the side where i wiped it off immediatly it was all good but the other side took a little work, thanks for the heads up.
Travis MalekBut how do i clean the scenic sprayer, just put water int the bottle and spray to clean out the nozzle?
I've always just used a safety razorblade laid flat on the railhead and just run it along the top of the rail... the glue comes right off.
The joints can be a little annoying but a toothpick or dental pick can get that out very easily - be more careful around switch points and slides - the glue can really 'gum up' the movable portion of the switch. Avoid a lot of spray in this area and use only enough glue to adhere the ballast around the slide - a tiny drop of sewing machine oil will prevent any glue from sticking to the area treated but don't get oo much of that on the surface either or the ballast my not hold where you want it.

The scenic sprayer will clean easily with wather since the glue is water based. Cleaning the glue off of the railheads wont be too hard but hopefully you can reach inside the tunnel and have enough room to work.

Yes a good water rinse will do the trick. Before you spray a large area of track I suggest that you try a small area to see how "easy" it is to remove the dried glue film. I've been there and done that.

Well Im gunna go ahead and spray the ballast in the tunnel. But how do i clean the scenic sprayer, just put water int the bottle and spray to clean out the nozzle?
