Hi fellows. I'm checking out this layout called "The HO scale Turtle Creek Southern"

It comes out of Model Railroader Books, "Basic Model Railroad Track Plans."

It's a HO scale: 4' x 5' 18" radius curve.

I can't figure out what tracks to use! Can anyone help? Thanks guys.

As the book says : "Peco's small radius turnouts are used throughout because of their compact size".

 http://books.google.no/books?id=cKjCumFtU_YC&pg=PA42

Looks like 4 RH small turnouts, 1 LH small turnout, 1 45 degree crossing, plus a few lengths of flextrack. say Peco code 75.

Doable, if you are cereful with your curves but it takes small engines, short cars, slow speeds, and you are going to use quite a bit of floor space (about 8 x 7 feet, to allow aisles on three sides.

 Smile,
 Stein
