Fastening Road Bed to Woodland Scenics Foam Risers
Posted by MontRailLink on Friday, June 4, 2004 10:53 AM
I'm trying to figure out how to fasten either cord or Woodland scenics foam roadbed to Woodland Scenics foam risers. Anyone with experience in doing so, tips would be appreciated.

Regular white glue or yellow carpenter's glue should work for the cork to foam. You can also try Liquid Nails (get the kind that is safe for foam) or adhesive caulking. The last two should work for cork to foam or foam to foam. Always test a small spot first to ensure "foam-friendliness" of adhesives or paints.

In addition to Andrew's list; I like Aleene's tacky glue, very similar (same?) to WS's tacky glue. I find it in the crafts section at Wal-mart.
Nigel N&W in HO scale, 1950 - 1955 (..and some a bit newer too) Now in San Jose, California
