Where is the US equivilent to the Hamburg Germany Miniature Wonderland?

I was absolutely beside myself when I saw the Miniature Wonderland layout in Hamburg Germany. I only saw it over the net at their site, but what sight it was!

So where can I go and see a layout much like that? I want to see something that is as close to prototypical as possible. Not something thrown together for the kiddies needing something just to look at on a rain weekend.

Any suggestions?

I would of course be willing travel to coincide with any other shows or conventions being held this summer/fall.

Thanks,

Sherman

Well, while it isn't exactly the same (it doesn't have working cars & trucks on its streets), the giant HO scale layout at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, IL is pretty hard to beat. It's a huge model, featuring a scale model of downtown Chicago on one side (with El and subway) and a scale model of downtown Seattle on the other, with a massive middle section representing the area in between. Worth a look.

You might check your local hobby shop to find out if there is a club layout near you--many club layouts are very visually impressive and are worth a look.
