You've done a great job collecting these.  Here's a little token of my appreciation...

I really have to get to work on building a minor league ball field...  Those old signs would make a hell of an outfield fence!

Thanks Tomkat. I always save the signs that you post and have used a few on some of my buildings so far. I appreciate you sharing.

Here's a couple that I've put into play on my N scale layout... (It's nice to have a color laser at work!)  I've also built a few billboards for placement around the layout.  Need to take some pictures of them...

Just copy & past the jpg file to your computer. You can re-size for different scales in MS Publisher, MS Word or program of your choice. You can print on paper, card stock, or for metal signs photo paper. I have not tried decal paper but it should work also. For older or faded signs you can use an off-white card stock. I use two sided tape but white glue or glue of choice.

Just print them out on paper and glue `em. Although you may have to reduce them slightly to get them to scale but if you have something like MS paint on your computer that really shouldn't be much of a problem.

I like the Fruit box labels.  I'm planning on making a fruit packing warehouse sometimed in the future and it will look nice having some growers labels on the building.

Thanks!

I remember reading a thread a few years back that some modelers take signs like these, print them on decal paper and install them on HO or N scale buildings that contain bricked surfaces and make them appear as if they were "painted on" like many of the older prototype buildings in North America.

Would it be something as simple as applying Solvaset to make the decal paper conform inside of the brick mortar lines?

Also, is there a decal paper that those of you that have done this, prefer?

.... Makes me want to backdate my layout just so I could use them !

I'd love to have a bunch of sheets like that appropriate for 70's - 80's billboards and advertising. That era really remains the "lost era" when it comes to a lot of things era appropriate.

Mark.
