Good progress on the layout - you're off to a great start.
I got my backdrop painted - not as easy as I thought it would be, but acceptable for now. It is not as blue as I hoped, but I actually think the color may be more realistic. (Photos in blog linked in my signature below)
Also bought a decoupler magnet and had some frustrating time with it. It seems like the couplers on my TrueLine GO GP40 don't like uncoupling, although the Athearn GO cars have not problem. Bought Kadee couplers today and will try swapping out the loco couplers to see if it helps. Even uncoupling manually with a skewer is not easy with the TrueLine loco.
Building my Double Track Truss Bridge - wow - long time since I built a model - brings back old memories, although my eyes are not what they used to be. It's coming along well though.
The Double Track bridge will cross my ravine - it is for a single track, but the track curves across the bridge.
This weekend will be building the trackbed for the track coming out of the yard - curve and incline across the ravine - should be fun.
