I've got one of the Bachmann dome cars like these (mine's in Amtrak paint). I've never had any trouble, but here's a few things to check before you start spending money on the problem: Firstly, are the trucks free to swivel? The screws holding them on may need to be loosened a little to allow this. Also, check the wheel back-to-back measurement using a NMRA gauge. Also consider adding a little extra weight to the cars. This should solve the problem. As far as replacing the trucks is concerned (if all the above suggestions fail) I would suggest emailing microtrains and asking their advice. I think these dome cars are models of a prototype car built for the Great Northern, so someone with more knowledge about this road than I have may be able to help with truck choice. Hope this helps!

Hi everyone ! [alien]
I keep having problems with my Nscale Mc Kinley explorer cars from bachmann. Sometimes one or two cars jump of th track when the wheels arrive on turnouts. And it seems to be no rule... it's not always the same car on the same turnout....
[?]Could the (micro-train) commeonwealth 3axles truck fit as they run much better?
[?] Is it possible to change just the wheels ?
[?] any over ideas welcome !

thanks
