A FEW SKETCHS OF THE FUTURE OF MY MACLAU RIVER RR
Posted by Marc_Magnus on Monday, August 31, 2009 12:49 AM

Hi from Belgium,

I posted a few days ago some pics of a full brand of handlay Nscale turnouts for the future yard of my Maclau River in Nscale.

In fact I am on the way for a future move in the current 2010.

My new house offer me a very big basement which is an old storage room of a small buiseness.

I did'nt have the correct mensurations of the room, but by counting the pavement I was able to determinate the whole area and made some sketch of what I could do there.

The layout design will include the old part of my present layout (marked with a star on the sketch)

It will feature an around the wall design with peninsula, the hills are the divider, the mainline is going to the end of the line on one side and come back on the other side, a good branch line join the end of the line featured by a small town. Area is 1935/1945, medium steam power with a very few diesels.

The design try to put only one train in the scene, but I didn't have not yet planned the mainline.

I would include some goals in the concept, first a very long heavy coal mainline going throught hills like the appalachian. crossing some small towns, long siding and some grade with helpers, a secondary line will cross the main here and there.

This sketch were posted also in the "General discussion" forum.

Marc

second some little towns and lot of small stops for coal crusher
