i found that when i used the scale wheel sets they performed badly on peco switches so i filled the frog with epoxy glue then cut out the wheel ways to the same depth as the wheel flanges ... i use a small piece of wood with a very small nail ground to the correct height... .the wheels now run thru my switches very smoothly with no lurching or bumping due to the wheels riding on the flanges.... ps if anyone wants proto metal wheels i got a very good deal from yankeedabler.... no conection only very satisfied customer peter
I called Branchline about the same wheels two months ago. They were out of stock but expected to have them again around September. The semi-scale wheels are well worth the wait. My train lengths have doubled since going to these wheels.
You might want to consider Reboxx wheelsets. I've been replacing the wheelsets in my rolling stock with these, they are available in different axle lengths to fit the truck frame.
I get them at my LHS, but you can order them directly from the manufacturer at their web site.
I hope this helps.

Are they on backorder from a dealer or from Branchline? You might try contacting Branchline directly to see what their story is: http://www.branchline-trains.com/customerservice.htm
Hi-
Just wondering if anyone else out there is having trouble getting HO 33" metal wheels in the semi-scale (.088) variety? I have had some Branchline wheels on backorder now for over six months. Is Branchline still in the wheel business?
Thanks!!
Terry
