changing gears...
Posted by rtprimus on Friday, August 7, 2009 10:56 AM

no, not train gears...  but just gears in how and what I am going to do.    I have been dreaming of doing a model of the N&W for some years now, but, planing and getting what I want have not been going well.  So, I am changing gears..

Freelancing based off the N&W.  Now, I am going to be shooting for the idea of a line, not part of the N&W but linked to them.  Kinda of a sister road.  Timeline for my layout would be about 1945 to 1955 or so, closer to the years after WWII.  I am planing on my Roster of engines being left overs and handedowns from the N&W.  What would be a good starting point but keeping it looking like a, say Class 2 railroad...

Long live the Norfolk & Western and the 611 J class!!!!!
