Finally got the wife interested .... In the train layout.
Posted by Ted Zeppelin on Sunday, July 12, 2009 9:58 PM

I've been working on my first 5'x12' HO layout for several months (after spending about the same time reading and learning) and up to this point, saw very little interest from my wife.  I've got the track laid and wired, the train is running smooth and am about half way done with the ballast.  I received my shipment of Super Trees earlier in the week.  I noticed that she was kind of checking them out to see "what I had bought now"!  As the week went on, her arts & craft side got the best of her and seemed really interested in making some trees.  I am happy to say that we now have about 50 trees in varying stages of completion and am extremely happy with the results.  It was actually very enjoyable working together.  I would highly recommend the Super Trees for anyone looking for some very realistic looking trees and shrubs.  This was my (our) first attempt using them and they have turned out  great so far.

 So,

again, one of the last male domains has fallen... Big Smile

Congrats, women have a great deal of creativity, when it comes to landscaping and scenery. I consult my wife and her ideas are just great!

Thats nothing. After working on some paint schemes for my RR this weekend the woman made me realized how I could get her into trains. Have a train painted in PINK! I have a feeling once I get an actual train this will come up again. As far as I'm concerned PINK did not exist in 1927, so neither will a PINK train. But then again neither did diesel lokes and the scheme I was working on was for a GP7 Mischief

That didn't work for Lionel in the 50's.
