What do the different icons with each message title mean?  The lock I figured out.

They have float-over descriptions.  Paper with a star means popular thread (yellow for read, red for unread) and paper with a pencil means regular thread (same yellow and red indicators).

You'd kind of think that red should mean "read". wouldn't you.  Laugh
