If the RIX references above are to the PikeStuff <link> product line I would agree that GWM is a bit on the expensive side for what the buildings are. They do seem to supply a range of accessories (except for the rooftop details). I am reminded of the poured/modular concrete buildings seen in the south rather than the metal sided buildings up here in New England (which is what PikeStuff models).
PS If you can find the Walthers CornerStone roof details kits, they have a wealth of AC units and ventilators, etc. for the money.

loathar I think they are a bit pricey for what you get. Rix products seem a bit more reasonable. I wish great west sold 12 packs of those gas meters. I need to find some of those without buying whole detail kits.

The Rix buildings are nice and I have several, although they mostly represent pole buildings which are generally not as large as the Great West structures and not as common in urban industrial parks. You will see a lot more of them in smaller towns where they appear to have more acceptance, perhaps due to building codes.

I stocked these kits in my hobby shop 10 years ago; I ordered a supply of his product at trade show in Rosemont, IL in 1997. I thought the kit built into nice representations of modern industrial buildings. They had a nice diorama of some of their built-up kits.
grizlump9 nice lookling buildings but they are rather generic. looks like the same outfit built everything from the same materials.grizlump

locoi1sa Very modern structures. They look like the precast concrete buildings of the mid west. Too modern for me. Sorry Pete

I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
cpcolinHas anybody used their products?
I've not used their items myself. However, it seems to me that MR did a product review that I believe was favorable, but I don't want to say that until I find the review. I tried using the various search functions in the magazine index and couldn't get anywhere. That said, maybe someone else remembers this review and can refer us to the particular issue.

Do you have a link?
Has anybody used their products? I was thinking about making a custom building.
