Fortunately I live close to a large town and found a plastics dealer. Very cheap for a 4x8 sheet that can last a long time. I used several however as backdrop for my layout and curved corners. Didn't have to pay the shipping if buying on internet. I know the For Sale Signs work as well for most needs.

Home Depot sells sheets of plastic like you would line a shower with. Don't know how thick or how small a size they sell though.
I use the "For Sale" signs at Wally World (Wal-Mart). If you can't find one of THOSE near you, you must live on Mars. And, they're a lot cheaper than any other source I've found.

You may have a local plastics distributer, or maybe some company that makes signs. See if you can buy some from them.
I ordered 2 big sheets from www.usplastic.com. They're the Rubbermaid people, but they also sell various bulk plastic items. I ordered 2 big sheets about 4 years ago, and I've still got a lot left.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Look at the "yard sale, home for sale, etc" signs at the big box stores. This may be suitable for your needs.
Can anyone help? I live almost 100 miles from the nearest hobby shop and am looking to buy sheet styrene (or any thin plastic that can substitute). Does anyone know if I could get something like this at a chain store, i.e. Home Depot, or do I have to order it?
Thanks
Jake
