just put a portable derail with a blue flag on it over one rail of the repair track. that will keep the yard engine from killing your car knockers.

Hi: These are Details West switch stands with Atlas turn outs. If this is what you're looking for, check out WEDudler's web site. He has an excellent tutorial there.
Hello
Are you asking if the derail stand and switch stand can be interlocked? If so then you will either have to make your own linkage or interlock them with switch motors from under the layout. It would be neat to have a derail interlocked with the switch on a layout. All my yard and sidings are lower than the mainline so I really have no need for a derail at those locations. I would like to put one on the RIP track though to protect the HO scale car knockers from getting rammed.

I pray every day I break even, Cause I can really use the money!
I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
I recently purchased a number of NJ International operating switch stands. The red target & blue derail stands. They were no suggestions with the stands on installing them to work in unision with turnouts. I am using peco code 83 track and various peco turnouts. I am trying to see if anyone has any tips on installation of NJ International switch stands?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. If you need more information for ideas let me know.
