Hi to everyone,
I am building my new N scale layout and sinced I last modeled about 10 years ago I'm a little out of date, so if anyone would give me tips on my new layout plan it would be greatly appreciated. Here is a link to a pic of my plan http://theskblog.blogspot.com/ All the switches I have are inserted and I do not want to buy more, but I have plenty of 9-3/4, and 11" curves and 6" strait tracks left for improvement.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks,
Maybe I'll look at purchasing an other turnout, I would really like to get some realistic activity out of my layout.
I'm a little behind on all my forum reading, just got to your post - if you can widen your table just a little bit, and switch the turnouts at the top so their curved part is actually the last part of the main curve, then the siding will be to the outside of the loop, and the siding track will be longer, plus you will eliminate the dreaded S-curves. You can apply the same principle in the station/yard area at the bottom, too - it's a double win, longer sidings and fewer S-curves.
Good luck, and have fun - Gerhard
