Kato Unitrack VERSUS a Walthers Conveyor Hopper Dump Kit.

Very simple. Build your walthers material dump kit according to instructions.

Cut a short peice of straight section ballast away from the Kato rails. Fit the grate area and rails inside the cut section. Join that to other kato track. You will be cutting into the surface of your railroad to make a hole for the deep unloading pit.

Finally mount the entire concrete surface of the kit conveyor on a 1/4 inch sheet of woodland scenics foam. Double check your rolling stock to clear your wheel flanges, coupler hangers and overall fit. The camera reveals a little adjustments and some scenic touch ups still needed to fit and finish my steam boiler house coal unloader.

Victory is mine I say. Dont quit.

And another.
