i have an 8x8 ho table and im having trouble trying to decide on a layout plan so im looking for some help on some track plans and i have 22 radus curves and i run mostly passenger trains thanks for everybodys help
Go to AtlasLayouts.com They have oodles of layout designs. With 8'x8' space, I would consider a C shaped layout, with at least a double connected loop for a longer passenger train mainline. Install run-around sidings of train llength, to allow high priority trains to pass slower local freights. Bob Hahn

What, you just want a circle of track? That's going to get boring in literally minutes.
I have to agree with the post above: circles of track get boring in a hurry. My layout is composed of all spurs (sidings) and only utilizes the mainline to connect one set of sidings with another. Sidings give your layout a purpose and add interest. You would be missing out on the opportunity to model specific industries (or any industries for that matter as trains rarely stop on the main to load/unload freight). I am not suggesting that you recreate the "spaghetti bowl" layout designs of yore. Sure, have your mainline; but experienced modelers will strongly recommend that you have at least a couple sidings.
You do realize that: 1) it is your layout...your world...your rules, 2) everything doesn't have to be prototypical all the time, and 3) if someone doesn't like #2 - refer them to #1. [I stole this from the forum and have it posted above my own layout...great advice.] Good luck with whatever design you settle upon.
