Nice website. . . I hope your grandson appreciates his railroad. I have two grandsons, but they are 1000 miles away.

Well, little Brenden is one very lucky boy. His grandpa is a great guy with a great web page. Useful & a pleasure to read for anyone in this great hobby.

I thought this might be interesting for other rank beginners to the hobby. I bought the Woodland Scenics "Scenic Ridge" kit to build for/with my young grandson and am documenting my experience at a web site I maintain for my grandkid(s). It has been a real chore as I am not much of a craftsman, but have found that if I work very slowly and for short periods of time the results are satisfying. It isn't even finished yet and I am planning a scratch-built expansion.
