homasote to foamboard transition
Posted by bob@osd on Sunday, November 30, 2008 1:23 PM

I intend to use rigid foamboard for a good part of my layout but am unsure of the transitions to yard areas where I will (probably) use homasote. I was thinking of using N scale cork roadbed (modeling in HO) on the foam and matching the heights at the yard entrances. Anybody try this? Any random thoughts?Bob T

Notch the end of the foam to the depth of the homasote for a few inches. Or just use foam board for the whole thing.
