Let me try "ctrl V" to see if your picture appears. Yup! Strangely, your picture can be enlarged by clicking on the image (rather than on the control bar above the image). By clicking a second time, you can get a ful page image. The reduction in size of the image by clicking the X , is the same as for my pictures.
I am not sure why my picture is Posted as "enlarged" (and can be enlarged further to Full Page )
This is a photo of one of my four switching panels. Note how each operator is in charge of 24 electric switches and 1 or 2 manual switches, controlled by touching probes on the probe panel. Since I have 96 electric switches, it became useful to divide up the switching to four panels, with visual contact with the numbered switches on each of four power district drawings. The walk around DCC operators can plug into the tethered Digitrax Loconet panels.
I like your idea of using a Y to serve your yard. Note that I also use multi y's and double slip switches. The yard, actually, extends under the overpass, to provide 7 rather lengthy, (equal length) stubs, A 7 switch "ladder" would take up a lot of real estate, and would not provide an escape for a train pulling switcher. The pair of curved drill tracks leading to the yard allow the switcher to form a consist of a 12-70 car train, without ever tying up the mainline. You might gain some length to you ladder stubs, by using more y's and double slip switches. The double-slip switches provide an escape route for the switcher. Nice photos of your layout ! Bob Hahn
You make it sound so easy. I have tried all of that and it still doesn't seem to work that way.
Thanks for the advice. I will keep trying to see what happens.

Jeffery,
Yes it helped quite a bit. I will not try and get some ideas on how to expand.
Posting pictures (and links) simply....
First, you need the actual URL to the picture. Depending on your photo host, this may or may not be what displays in your brower's url box when viewing the picture. With photobucket, it's not - but they give you a box with the direct link to your picture. For a picture, this must be somethign that ends in JPG or GIF or another supported format here (maybe PNG too). Select that text and hit Control-C (or pick Copy from the Edit menu).
Now over here in your message, type in after it. NO SPACES.
To link a web site, type and then the web site address and then type in
You might say this is too complicated, but this method works, and works EVERY TIME. No issues with your browser opening the picture posting window when you click on the tool bar. And it has worked in EVERY VERSION of the MR forum software - and works in most other forum software as well. I never click on the 'insert image' or 'insert link' buttons. Just type it in.

Thanks for the help. Now maybe I can get some ideas of how to expand my layout.
Hi,
All you have to do is to click on the IMG below the Photobucket photo that you choose. Momentarily, the word "Copied" will appear. Now return to your Trains.com thread text and click ctrl V and the code for the photo will appear. Next, click on Post and the text and resized photo will appear on the Thread. You can do ths same for a Reply (to someone elses Post, or to an Edit of your own Post. For Posting multiple photos, i switch back and forth between Photobucket.com and the Trains.com thread Edit. Be sure that you click on Post only once for each Posting. Any Reply will appear at the end of the Thread. Bob Hahn
PS If you are interested in replacing the "Shadow Head" AVATAR with one of you own train photos:
(1) Choose the Photobucket photo that you desire for your AVATAR and click on the IMG The word "Copied" will momentarily appear
(2) Click on the Trains.com Then go to Forums (as usual).
(3) Click on "Update Profile" in the box at the right.
(4) Click on "Avatar" in the Tool line above.
(5) Type ctrl V (in Browse),or click on the icon with a W
(7) They will assure you that your AVATAR has been and will be posted (on all Posts
I can see them just fine. To post them here just click the IMG line under the thumbnail, right click and copy it to your browser then come here, right click and paste it into your post. If you do everything right your photo should come up like this:
Now I can see from this that you have the thumbnails in the IMG line. Clicking on the photo above will take the veiwer to your photobucket account. On the photo below I edited the URL info out of the IMG line so now the photo is shown here but does not take the viewer to your account.
But that still shows the thumbnail view. By editing the th_ out of the tag line the photo can show up like this:
