Paasche H Airbrush Question
Posted by bagman on Saturday, November 8, 2008 12:00 AM

Hi there

Being a newbie to airbrushing I have a quick question I hope you can answer for me.

I notice that the H set comes with #3 and #5 needle/nozzle assembly along with HC-3/HC-5 Air Cap.

I'm assuming the HC-3/HC-5 Air Cap's are meant to be used with their appropriately numbered needle/nozzle assembly ?

Is it necessary to change the air cap each time I change the needle size ??

Thank you in advance

cheers

Correct. There's actually a 1,3 and 5. 1 being the smallest for finer detail and 5 being the largest for bigger areas and thicker acrylic type paints. You should use the correct # cap with the same # needle.
the needle should have a # stamped on it and the caps have rings around them. (1 ring, 3 rings and 5 rings.)
