Joint bars and rail joiners
Posted by DeadheadGreg on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 10:08 PM

hey, i was wondering if anyone here uses Details West or Central Valley joint-bars on their layouts?  And if you do, do they fit over rail joiners?

Specifically, I use the Micro Engineering rail joiners which are quite flat, and it seems like there would be room for the joint-bars above.  thoughts?

Either use N scale joiners for HO or buy the Proto87 ones. Andy says they're made to have a joint bar installed above them.

He does, but they're sold with the photo etched tie plates.

I've used them.

You see one at the movable rail of this derail. Rail is code 70.
