orange juice plant
Posted by Conrail914 on Monday, August 18, 2008 3:21 PM

Hello all:

I seem to recall that MR had an article a while back by someone who scratchbuilt or kitbashed a processing plant as a destination for his Tropicana plant. Does anyone remember that or an tell me when it was published?

Thanks in advance,

Rich,

There is an article in the May 2007 issue of Model Railroader "Squeeze in a juice distribution center" which may be the one you're thinking about. It's based on Tropicana's Jersey City, NJ distribution center.

FYI here is an aerial view of the Tropicana plant in Bradenton, FL where all of the juice train loads originate:

May help you get an overall idea of how the juice flows from Florida to all of those distribution centers around the country. Jamie
