question on wiring up for DCC on N scale
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, March 13, 2004 1:55 AM
I am up to the wiring stage on my N scale layout. I would like to go with DCC but at the moment I find it a little difficult for the cost wise for the initial packs etc.
Meanwhile, I figure that I could wire every thing up ready for when I can afford to buy. Can anyone advise me as to the best way to go about this prewiring stage.

Wire it with blocks and DPDT switches so while using DC you can control movements throughout the layout. And I would follow the direction from "pacificnorthern" put drop feeder wires about 3 ft. apart.

When you convert to DCC just connect all the feeder wires to the two wires that go into the DCC command station. Should take you about 5 minutes to convert it.
