I'm having similar trouble getting some Shinohara items which are long out of stock at WKW. This includes both Code 83 items (which WKW promotes with its own name) and some Code 70.
I'm still working at it, and the things I want may turn up sometime soon, but the bigger questions are about Shinohara in general: Are long back-order periods (without even a projected shipping date) the norm for this company? If delivery scheduling is this poor, will WKW continue to push the stuff?
If Shinohara is "circling the drain," I want to switch away now. I've had enough vendor problems during my working days. Model railroading is supposed to be fun.
Anybody have any "inside" information on the company?
I just did a search looking for IN STOCK Walthers/Shinohara track and turnouts. Here is what is in stock at Walthers:

Hi all,
I am curious as to if anyone knows of a good source where I can purchase some Walther's Shinohara track. Specifically #5 and #6 switches, 30 degree crossover, #8 curved, and a #3 WYE. I have looked on the Walthers website, but found it not to be of much help.
Anyone here have thoughts on this? I had heard Shinohara is getting harder and harder to find, but a couple of their products I need to use for my trackplan.
