I am in the early stages of a new N scale layout planning and if I can spend enough time away from the kids and work to get it presentable by then I will send it in.

Good luck to everyone!

Since I find myself in that agonizing part of model railroading known as "what kind of layout do I want", I look forward to seeing some of the "professionals" work their magic.

I might throw my hat into the ring.

Especailly since it's an excuse to design something I really don't plan on building.

I just learned of it. I thought it might be fun, but I've had so little free time lately, I don't want to commit myself.

Nope.

I can't design my own layout let alone one for a contest.

I will if I can get it drawn in time and have something decent written to acompany it.  I was going to enter the last one but ran out of time.  I like contests since they give me a chance to practice layout design.

I rarely if ever enter a competition.  Maybe one in the last decade or so, formal or informal.

With all of the devotees of layout planning in this forum, I am wondering how many are planning on taking the plunge and entering MR's official layout planning contest. (entry deadline October 31st!)  I haven't done so in years.  But I think I'm going to take a shot at it because I have a specific idea for a layout plan I want to pursue.

Let's face it, I'm just trying to guage the competition...

I have figured out what is wrong with my brain!  On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!
