Kato track
Posted by Gary 740 on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 3:00 PM

I want to use HO unitrack for a small layout. Are there any successful ways to use a limited number of Atlas code 83 track, such as  Atlas crossovers in this layout? I would appreciate any advise on this subject.

Thanks

HO Scale Kato Track is usually code 83, but there are code 100 availible.

You take the Atlas Track on Midwest Cork Roadbed and shim it very slightly to match the rail of the Kato track anywhere you want to. The secret lies in careful shimming.

You might want to use Kato Unitrack BALLAST in small quanities to help blend your track in with that of Kato Unitrack.

Good luck!
