ME flex track and TurnOuts
Posted by pcmsmokin on Monday, June 2, 2008 7:21 PM

ME only offers #6 turnout. My question is, what is the compatabilty with other manufactures, #4 and #5 that performs and looks the same. My concern is how the rails line up. I really like the ME flex track. Any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time

As long as they are the same code rail,( 100,83,70) they will line up. Code is the height of the rail itself in inches. Code 100 is .100" tall. Code 83 is .083" tall, etc...
Where some tracks differ is in the thickness of their plastic ties. This can cause a height misalignment that can be fixed by shimming the shorter track with plastic to bring it up to level.

I did not specify code 83. Thank you.
