I had spent much time wiering the lights too all my buildings and when I was done I realized I had missed a few army qwanset huts and since it is a mobile layout and the buildings are semi permanant when locked down I needed a way of getting power to these huts without pulling the huts apart again so after thinking a while I realized that when I was doing the reasearch for wiering my telephone poles from the first layout I recalled there was a rather thick line that is suspended from a steel cable, the beefy wire cluster wrapped in black rubber is on a lot of poles, so with this in mind I actually strung the real 12volt wire from a fake steel cable along my phone lines and not only does it look real enough and blends rather nicely they are actually feeding 12volts of power to 2 in series lights for my buildings, I'm in the process now of adding more lights using the same routing methiod,.
So what at first looked like a problem turned out to be another way of lighting my layout the soloution was, use the poles for real power...LOL!
