Where did you get that boat?  Or is it scratchbuilt?   I expect to see Popeye, Bluto, and Olive Oil emerge from the cabin any minute now.

"Well, blow me down!"

I have figured out what is wrong with my brain!  On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!

Wow, that is really a DIFFERENT looking scene.  Not just more of the same old stuff.  Good show.

Thanks for the nice compliment.  Yes, the waterfront buildings are scratch built and that is an operating clock in the clock tower, althought a cheap one  LOL  The whole scene is 24 inches deep.  I have Walthers background industrial buildings in the background which I haven't weathered yet.  Also no people, work man yet.  Long way to go!  Built a small shelf layout so that I can finally get to do some super detailing.

Did you scratchbuild the waterfront buildings?  That place really has an old waterfront feel to it; it's almost like a period display from a museum.  How deep is the scene in the photo?  It looks like you've used low relief background buildings to maximum advantage!  Nice work!  Does the clock tower have an operating watch mechanism in it?

HO 2 X8 Shelf Layout, 50 era Industrial, some scratch built buildings on the waterfront.

Layout not finished yet!!!  but making progress.  Spent the afternoon playing with the lead in track to the turntable, getting a smooth transition from the track to the turntable,  also from the turntable to the one stall engine house (scratchbuilt) and the extra holding track next to the engine house.

 Cheers,  DON
