I have a 4x8 layout with a small yard.  i just cant find a way to make a large yard using Bachman e-z track.  i only have 5-6 inches to work with.  any suggestions??

The standard EZ Track turnout is an 18" radius, with a full section of curved track - not very good for making a yard.  Bachmann also has EZ Track #5 & #6 turnouts which will work much better.

Try here:

You should be able to find anything Bachmann makes .
