Joe's wife Patty is doing a whole lot better these day! Back to her usual cheerful self.

I got mine last night and it seems pretty good. While the section on water was about using envirotex to make a stream, Joe mentioned that he did larger bodies of water by painting masonite with Artist's Gesso if I remember correctly.. that sounds like a perfect technique for what I want to do with this scene: http://photos.nerail.org/showpic/?2003110714511910953.jpg
I am especially looking forward to the part about making trees, only made it up to ballasting last night.
I wonder why he paints his rail after ballasting? Would seem to work better before. Didnt explain or I didnt catch it.

Is it here yet? Is it here yet? My wife is getting tired of me asking if the new DVD has shown up yet. I have really enjoyed the other 4 and I'm really looking forward to the 5th video. Sorry to hear that Joe's wife has had some health issues, but I hope she has put those behind her and is on the road to recovery. I know how family health issues can affect a family. But once again I have to call the wife and ask, "Is it here Yet!!" LOL
Hurray!
Looking forward to getting my copy in the mail soon! If it is like the previous series of DVD's that Joe has put together it should be another keeper!
Thanks for the heads up Charlie!

I have Joe's other four videos and I can't wait for #5 to arrive. Well worth the investment. The OPS videos are good too.

I had the opportunity to view the new scenery video from model-trains-video.com and boy is Volume 5 - Scenery and Bridges - part 2, a winner. Lots of great information regarding adding
The video is good quality and it's in wide screen so on my nice TV it looks great. I've been building layouts for a while but still picked up several new techniques I plan to try out on my layout. Great stuff!
