You have to watch that. Krylon makes about 5 products that look alike and only one works.
I found some acrylic matte coat at Hobby Lobby made by a company called Craft Etc. It worked even better than the Krylon.
It says it's acrylic but it has all these flammable, Don't breath warnings on it. Stinks pretty bad too. I though acrylic meant water based??Confused [%-)]

Well, this I didn't suspect:

After starting a thread http://cs.trains.com/forums/1398814/ShowPost.aspx about the two matte finishes, I went out and bought another can of krylon.  However, it is "Low Odour Clear Matte"....not what I had at first, because that was all that was available at the local Walmart.

Well, the low odour stuff may not have a smell, but it is also not very matte.  It left the structures with almost the same sheen. And I shook the can continuously and applied as directed

The labels are almost identical.  I hope this has not completely replaced the old smelly Krylon.

Don't get the low odour stuff.

Fierce-throated beauty! Roll through my chant, with all thy lawless music! thy swinging lamps at night.
