re-railers
Posted by elcercao on Monday, February 16, 2004 9:26 PM
I am modeling HO code 100 using flex track. I have a lift out section about 18 " wide where I would like to add inside rails as a rerailer to help keep the trains on track.

Is it possible to use the same flex track? Does anyone build rerailers code 100 other than Atlas?

Thank you

You can just use Code 100 rail, spiked into position with track spikes, as an inner guardrail. If you don't have an easy source for bare rail, just yank some out of some flextrack. Dril guide holes every fourth tie in the flex track with a pin vise or a Dremel and pop in the spikes with a pair of needle-nose pliers.
