I would use either cheap cans of grey spray primer or that Killz primer paint you use for walls.

Wondering what you might use/recomend for a primer?

Prime styrene areas on backdrop?
Posted by kasskaboose on Monday, April 7, 2008 11:44 AM

My backdrop is nearly done!  I have it secured and primed.  I did it using masonite (1/8in thick) on the straight parts and styrene for the curves.  I then primed the layout to cover areas patched w/ the plastic cement.  Should I also prime the white stryene sheets?

TIA!
