TrainBuff101,

Hello,

Did you have a question about a topic, or modeling?

If you're new to this, you should feel welcome and get very good feedback from fellow hobbyists. Even with all the "controversies" this hobby has improved tremendously in just the past 10 years and the modelers on these threads possess a wealth of information and opinons to gladly share with all of us!

Peace and God Bless, Amigo! [:)]

Which posts have you left that didn't get replies? In the past week you've made a couple posts, and all got replies of some sort...I wouldn't expect too many more posts on the "military items" thread because you put so many smilies on there that folks' browsers will lock up when people try to load the page--which, in itself, will lead people to not respond to your posts.

TrainBuff 101 Let me reply to your comment:

[;)] Nope. Not a psycho or "syco" freak as you worded it. I can be "very abrasive" [:-,] but I'd rather be decent to everyone on these threads, whether 12 years old or 102. Even if they're rude towards me. I'm just a regular guy that has long discovered that humility can go a long way in life. [8)] I'm the son of Cuban born parents with old fashioned values.

My dad ( now deceased) was my big influence. Encouraged me not to drink alcohol or smoke (though he could "cuss" like a sailor when upset. Always a good guy. My mom, calm, cool and wonderful. I hope that she's around for many more years.

I'm a 40 year old Family man, happily married 17 years. Worked 15 years for a Bus Transit System. Ran the Collision & Paint shop for about 2 years before I left the transit authority in 1997( on good terms). I enjoy helping people. Always a great feeling! Very active in my Church and model railroading. I was teased as a kid for "playing with trains" and attending church. Was even bullied. Went through some very tough times, but here I am!

I teach Automotive Collision & Paint Refinishing at a tech school. One thing that I love about my job is that I get to include model railroading in my course "in a BIG WAY". Go to: www.lcrailroad.com My students painted the club's Seaboard S12 locomotive and the Western Maryland F7. Go to the September 2003 Pictures category and you should see the locomotives there. As a teacher, I have a good rapport with students. I'm a little like "Mahoney" from Police Academy. I'm conservative though, not a liberal.

[;)] Also attend a Christian Karate center and at home enjoy the Tae-Bo videos by Billy Blanks. I dropped 60 pounds back in 01.

I love God but I'm not perfect! Who here is? I tried the "Club & Bar Scene" in my 20s because some of my friends and coworkers were trying it. TV still glorifies this so much! I quickly discovered that it did absolutely nothing for me as I blew money away. In 1985 one of my buddies had his head "blown open" with a gun in a club by a jealous guy that accused him of trying to "talk to his girlfriend". Lost another friend who was a "Playa" to AIDS. It's amazing what you experience from age 20 to 40! Your way of thinking really does change, a lot! What has not changed for me is that Model railroading, excercsing, and clean living is far more satisfying. [8D][:D][:p]

Take care, guy!
