knuckle couplers to replace rapido in scale
Posted by SirPeter on Friday, March 21, 2008 6:44 AM

I have a variety of n scale wagons and passenger cars by different manufacturers most of which have rapido couplers. The same applies to my range of locos. Is there a 'standard' kuckle coupler I can use to replace the rapidos which is not too hard on old eyes? To show you how old the eyes are I posted this question in the Electrics & DCC forum!! Any help/suggestions would be magic!

Micro-Trains couplers are considered the best in N-scale.  They are reliable, come in many truck styles, and have conversions for practically any Loco or rolling stock.  Here is the link to their N-scale products:

I agree 100% with the above post.

Stick with Micro trains as they have the a wide selection of trucks, couplers for just about anything that is worth converting to these great couplers.

Stay away from the rest and you'll be a happy model railroader instead of a frustrated one...

For those aging eyes get yourself an Optivisor - magnification makes all the difference in the world and is an inexpensive way to improve modeling skills especially in N scale because you'll actually be able to see what you're doing!
