If you are willing to roughen up the side of the styrene being adhered to the backdrop surface, you can use darned near anything that won't run and pool down onto your layout, and that includes your Liquid Nails.  White and yellow glue would work if you can get it to thicken a bit first and spread it before it runs or sets or gets a scabby coating that bunches up into hard bits when you try to press the styrene into place.

At thicker, carpeting type glue might be a good bet.  Try some with one sheet.  Spread the stuff well and then let it get tacky.  Press the sheet into place and then try to roll it or something so that it makes the glue behind it not well up and cause bulges.  This would be something to watch for with any paste or caulking, including the Liquid Nails.  You have to spread it evenly and get the sheets rolled into it so that they don't have obvious shadows from oblique lighting.  This will be critical in images.

Two adhesive questions

What type of glue should I use to glue .10 sheets of stryene to my backdrop?  I saw a liquid and gel type of crazy glue at Home Depot, but didn't get any to avoid getting the wrong stuff.

I will use liquid nails to glue the masonite to the backdrop.  Where else to use liquid nails?

TIA!
